Was detecting a ghost town on July 4th, and I thought my headphones failed on me.
This morning I tried several other sets and the results were all the same, sometimes I got sound and sometimes not. What's odd is that it doesn't really cut out like a loose wire or whatnot usually does, it just fades in and out.
I was thinking about opening the battery box to see if it's just a loose connection or whatnot, as it's a PITA to have to ship it back to (where????) just to repair the headphone jack.
Anyone else had this issue?
